GEPCO Bill Due Date & Late Surcharge (LPS) Rules
Learn how NEPRA's Late Payment Surcharge (LPS) is calculated when an electricity bill is paid after the due date, and how to apply for due date extensions.
What is Late Payment Surcharge (LPS)?
Under the NEPRA Customer Services Code, a Late Payment Surcharge (LPS) is added to your GEPCO bill if the total payable amount is not deposited on or before the official due date printed on your bill. Check your due date anytime on our GEPCO Online Bill Checker.
How is GEPCO LPS Calculated?
- Residential & Commercial Tariffs: LPS is calculated as 10% of the net bill amount (excluding taxes and government duties) if paid after due date.
- Industrial Tariffs: LPS for industrial supply is calculated based on prevailing bank interest rates per annum.
Bank Processing Cutoff Times for Online Payments
When paying your bill online via EasyPaisa, JazzCash, or mobile bank apps, ensure payment is submitted before 11:59 PM on the due date. Payments submitted after midnight are processed on the next business day and may incur late charges.
